IVP Designs
These people are the force behind the shirt. A friend at IVP stopped to eat at George's cousin, Steve Martorano's  famous restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Cafe Martorano-got talking with Steve about George and was inspired by what he heard. George teaches "Creative Writing" classes within the walls at Coleman Federal prison.  George copes with the "caged" world by teaching, others caged with George cope by being taught.
Ahoodie
These shirts are currently being featured on the Ahoodie website. They too just ran a contest with the "Coleman Creative Writing" T-shirt as a prize.

Message: two years ago i would have said your nuts this could never happen in our country......will i was proven wrong, you see my son got into trouble and you would not believe the rights you think you have you don't..... not with the federal govenment anyway.... this is unbeliveable to treat a man like this because of what his last name is.......he has paid back with interest for his deeds..my heart goes out to him and his family and i can only pray that someone see this injustice and act on it

Message: I have never met George, but I have heard his story from my brother (John) and I think it is time that this travesty of justice be repaired. The goals of prison should be punishment and/or rehabilitation. If our government hasn't been able to accomplish these two goals in the years they have had George in prison, they should let him go. My guess is that both have been done- beyond what was necessary. He has certainly paid many times over for the wrong that he did. Now it is time to let him out to continue the positive work that he has started in prison. There are people on the outside who need what he has to offer them. Give George a chance to touch their lives in the positive way that he is meant to. God Bless, George.

Message: This story is very disturbing. Rediculous!, to sentence a non-violent person, to such a very harsh sentence. I believe that people like George should not be in jail at all. I do believe sex offenders walking our streets as a threat to society, should be serving sentences that harsh, at least. Our government needs a mental health evaluation I think. What we the people can do is start initiatives to begin changing laws, and vote against this garbage!

Message: John, Blakey, The site looks great and the materials is very convincing. I have no doubt you will obtain a modification of sentence, even though it may take a long time to work through the administration and the Justice system. You have my support, I am sending a letter to John ashcroft, from just a FOB who does not have much influence in this country where I was not born. Franck

Message: From what I know, George does not belong where he is. What about the violent dealers? What about the crooks and the rapists? The majority of them do not have life sentences. Geogre has so obviously changed his life and is touching others in so many ways. I don't know how anybody can allow him to remain where he is serving a life sentence.

Message: Justice should mean being fair to society and the offender. In this case, Justice has not been served. Has our appetite for revenge grown so big we can't see how it devoures our Country's heritage and freedoms? George Martorano does not deserve a Life without Parole sentence...period!

Message: Its so wrong to keep this man in prison for so long. Especially since he committed a non-violent crime.

Message: I have known georgie since I was a little girl and I am now 53 years old. He has always been very kind and gentle to everyone he has been in touch with. He deserves to be home and we miss him so much. He has payed beyond his time and should not be put through any more trauma that he has already been through. I truly feel if Georgie was released he would be a great asset to society. I wish and pray to god that you will be free soon. Looking forward to seeing you in February.

Message: It is shameful that a country born of the need for freedom, denies it of its own citizens. Please free George Martorano and realise the Real America

Motivate Melee
This is a blogspot of a student of George's "Creative Witing" class. Sure shows what a great teacher George really is. Just another reason of the 1000's that George should not spend one more day "caged".
LETTERS NEEDED NOW
We need letters supporting George's release. We are hopeful that Mr. Black will have George in the courts VERY soon. Letters addressed to the court supporting the release of George after 28 years of incarceration could and should weigh in heavily. I don't need 2-3 page letters... just a paragraph or two on the fact that "enough is enough."
