IVP Designs These people are the force behind the shirt. A friend at IVP stopped to eat at George's cousin, Steve Martorano's famous restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Cafe Martorano-got talking with Steve about George and was inspired by what he heard. George teaches "Creative Writing" classes within the walls at Coleman Federal prison. George copes with the "caged" world by teaching, others caged with George cope by being taught.
Ahoodie These shirts are currently being featured on the Ahoodie website. They too just ran a contest with the "Coleman Creative Writing" T-shirt as a prize.
FREE GEORGE MARTORANO Read some of George's latest writings and letters - creative to say the least - why let this talent be "caged" any longer

Message: Hi George, think you still remember me, Im Diddy's son from Sheridan street, Alfie's cousin. You helped me out many years ago and I never forgot.
You have paid many more debts than you owe. It is long overdue, you should be released.
Anything I can do, dont hesitate to ask.

Message: What a wonderful Website and a great idea!
I am familiar with the facts and circumstances of George?s case. I have also followed his progress through his years of incarceration. I know that George has used his time constructively and has demonstrated his ability to make significant changes in his life. His participation in the system?s programs have guided his life into a different direction. He has accepted full and complete responsibility for his involvement in the crime, and he has expressed deep and sincere remorse. He has truly reflected on his past mistakes. I can sincerely say and believe he has been rehabilitated and is determined to make a positive change in his life and the lives of his family. I will be writing my letters and mailing them shortly. I will be requesting the careful consideration and review of his case, taking into consideration his positive adjustment while incarcerated. We can only hope he will be given the opportunity to return to society where he will make significant contributions to the community.
George, you have shown our family such strength and spirit throughout these past years. Our family lives in a world of optimism, a state of mind in which one always hopes that something good will happen. Hopefully with this website and your voices our world of optimism will turn realistic and George will be given a second chance at a normal life. George, you are in our thoughts, hearts and prayers everyday!
Love, hug and a kiss, your cousin Regina

Message: I can't believe this has happened in United States of America. There needs to be drastic changes in the Judicial system. People don't realize this is happening till someone they know and love goes to prison for so long.

Message: George...I can't even imagine spending 22 years in prison. Your case is a clear example of a justice system gone horribly awry. Please keep your head up and know that some of us care and are working towards change in our "justice system". Society has long since ignored what happens in our justice system, it was easier to sweep things under the rug. "Lock them up" - "Out of sight out of mind". But that time is coming to an end. Our society is starting to take notice of cases like yours, of the mishandling of people, and the lack of justice or rehabilitation. Our society is beginning to see how ineffective the current system is. With the realization of how justice is rarely served...society will start to push for change. That time is now...
I believe with the budge deficit, war, release of hundreds of inmates locked away for years in solitary confinement that we will see the group of people who believe a change is necessary will grow. The system will be forced to look for alternatives.
You are not alone George Martorano... there are people who care about what you are going through. We will continue to fight for justice to be served.
I have written a letter on your behalf. I will email it, mail it to the president as well as to the Bureau of Prisons or anyone else you'd like me to mail it to. I will mail you a copy as well.
In struggle & in strength,
I will always remain...

Message: Well... George is my second cousin. He's first cousins with my dad, Valdo. I've never met George, but I love him with all my heart. It is so great to see such support for him. Just looking at this site and all these wonderful petitions brings tears to my eyes. I'm only 15-years-old, but I would give my life to show George back to his own. He deserves a second chance. The way he was treated is rediculous and I think it's about time for him to be released. I pray for him every night and I'm so grateful for all of you who do the same. My family and I will soon be writing letters to the President, we're going to do whatever we can for George. Not only because he's family, but because he is a wonderful man and deserves to be released! If there's any justice in this world, I will see my cousin Georgie face-to-face one day... one day very soon.

Motivate Melee This is a blogspot of a student of George's "Creative Witing" class. Sure shows what a great teacher George really is. Just another reason of the 1000's that George should not spend one more day "caged".
LETTERS NEEDED NOW We need letters supporting George's release. We are hopeful that Mr. Black will have George in the courts VERY soon. Letters addressed to the court supporting the release of George after 28 years of incarceration could and should weigh in heavily. I don't need 2-3 page letters... just a paragraph or two on the fact that "enough is enough."
