A friend at IVP stopped to eat at George's cousin, Steve Martorano's famous restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Cafe Martorano-got talking with Steve about George and was inspired by what he heard. George teaches "Creative Writing" classes within the walls at Coleman Federal prison. George copes with the "caged" world by teaching, others caged with George cope by being taught.

Message: This sentence is a sad, sick joke. Who did George actually hurt? Who did he actually kill? No-one. The time is well overdue for George to be released - this man should not be in prison. Send him home and give his room to a real criminal. In fact - send all the non-violents home, release the innocents, and place the guilty in their places - and this will probably include a fair amount of those that are currently masquerading as "lawmen" and are no more than "killers by proxy". Good luck, George - I hope you're home soon.

Message: As I sit here waiting to be evicted, waiting for my phone to be cut off, waiting for my internet to be cut off, wondering where the next meal for my kids will come from I really feal for you George. My husband was wrongly accused and convicted 17 years ago and is now serving time in Pasco County Jail for Failure to Register. We do have an attorney who is certain he will have him exonerated about the time his sentence is over. We have the proof. I lost our business since he has been incarcerated. Message: That's simply ridiculous? It's almost unbelievable... life in prison for marijuana traffiking? The saddest thing is that the people who sent you to prison have probably smoked dope and liked it a lot. Isn't president bush a known cocaine user in university? Love this website and what it stands for. Message: Well Georgie another holiday has gone by but hopefully the next holiday we celebrate is your homecoming. I have been praying and I know your second chance at life is coming. We need you to come home to head our family with that strong leadership quality that you have. I am very proud of you and your accomplishments. Motivate Melee This is a blogspot of a student of George's "Creative Witing" class. Sure shows what a great teacher George really is. Just another reason of the 1000's that George should not spend one more day "caged".
LETTERS NEEDED NOW We need letters supporting George's release. We are hopeful that Mr. Black will have George in the courts VERY soon. Letters addressed to the court supporting the release of George after 28 years of incarceration could and should weigh in heavily. I don't need 2-3 page letters... just a paragraph or two on the fact that "enough is enough."
